My name is Dominique Donovan and I’m the hand behind the chalk for Dominique Design & Décor. A little bit about me, I am a 30 year old math teacher from Brooklyn, NY. I have a dog named Holly that I am obsessed with and I love to paint.
My love for calligraphy and chalkboards started when I became a teacher 8 years ago. Even though the use of chalkboards has dwindled over time, I have always loved the rustic aesthetic and contrast they create. So I decided to put my love for calligraphy, painting, and chalkboards together to create this company.
I love that I am able to help people celebrate big events in their lives. To be able to help someone make a vision come to reality is truly a special feeling, no matter what the occasion.
